Riders from Key West, Florida embarked on an epic biking adventure up the East Coast to celebrate their entrance into post-grad life. The Sunrise Trail was a highlight of their journey through Downeast Maine.
The annual Sunrise Trail Coalition Ride-In and Picnic brought the community together for a day of riding, food, and fellowship along the Down East Sunrise Trail. Thank you to everyone who participated in this beloved annual tradition.
Saturday, July 22 marked the finish of the Down East Sunrise Trail Relay. The final finisher of the last leg crossed the line in grand fashion at the pool. Congratulations to all teams who completed the full 102.7 miles.

Important trail notice reminders: Most trails remain closed at this time. The coalition is working closely with land managers to prepare for the season opening. Please respect all posted closures and check back regularly for updates on trail openings and conditions.
The Sunrise Trail Coalition brings together representatives of the trail's multiple user groups. Through membership dues, donations, and grants, the coalition sponsors annual community events and provides necessary accessory facilities along the trail such as benches, picnic tables, and rest room facilities.
